Good Evening SXSW!

Just a quick post from Austin before we grab some grub:

As a total conference noob, this year’s SXSW will be my first. We’ve been here about an hour and I’m already completely overwhelmed. Just a few quick notes:

I Got Buttons!

That’s right, I’m going to be trolling the halls of SXSW with a sack full of Louder Than Ten buttons. If you see me, just ask and you shall receive.

We’re Not Rolling On Shabbas.

But we are rolling on Sunday at the ABX Bowling Tournament. The good people at Electric Pulp have drafted me and Johnny to their team. To all the other teams… look out. We got the Canadian advantage of bowling on ice (AKA curling… and yes I love curling) and we plan to capitalize on that.

The Panels

Yup, there are a lot. Aside from a select few panels, I’m going in by the seat of my pants. There are so many that my head might explode if I try to stick to any kind of schedule.

The Parties

What? Parties? I think I’ve signed up for about 4 every night so we’ll see what actually happens. Again this one is going to be as unplanned as possible. Saying that, I am definitely going to hit The Great British Booze Up and SWNW.

As a total noob, I’m not really sure what to expect but if you happen to see a lost and bewildered Canadian wondering aimlessly through the streets or the halls, please stop to say hi!
